Rob has proven a fantastic musical collaborator for over a decade, and I intend to work with no one else. His ability to dive into the narrative undercurrents of a film and express the emotion beneath is matched only by his technical skill and compositional wit. He would be entitled to an ego but has none, making every collaboration smooth and pleasant. Highly recommended.

Rob can write anything. Need a classical dirge? He’s got you. A soulful serenade? Easy. A lesbian club hit with a lyrical structure similar to ‘We didn’t start the fire’? Check and check. He’s also delightful and hilarious and has great hair. You should hire him always.
— Christan Leonard, director/producer of Northern Belles
Working with Rob has been fantastic. From concepting to delivery he was collaborative and communicative. His music really captured the spirit of the game!
— Aaron Maus, Misdirection Games
Loved working with Rob! From the very beginning I felt that his music had a special quality to it; original and distinct, while also being emotionally evocative. It can be difficult to bring your own strong ideas to the table while also remaining open and collaborative, but Rob does so deftly and graciously.

Working with Rob is a dream. He’s willing to iterate and play with instrumentation to create themes that are unique and haunting. The first time we worked together, he improvised a dark, staccato score on his cello live as we watched my silent psychological short together. For my second short film, we weren’t in the same place, but the process was still very smooth. I have no musical background, but he was able to turn my (admittedly rambling) descriptions of emotions into beautiful, affecting themes with precise timings. His communication was prompt and he always stuck to his projected timeline.
